‘Best Comedy Musical Performer’ award-winner Adelmo Guidarelli – The Clown Prince of Opera – brings his quirky, fast-paced, operatic parody Operation Adelmo to Symphony Space as a fundraiser for Opera Manhattan Repertory Theatre. This charismatic and completely acoustic presentation features an array of instruments, not usually linked with Opera, including the ukulele, banjo, guitar, and kazoo, in a performance that brings about a comical, multi-language, operatic treatment as Adelmo skillfully demonstrates the parallels between well-known arias and their pop-culture counterparts… using baseball as a platform!
