possible quality and to strengthening the region’s cultural and artistic community through
collaborations with a diverse range of arts organizations.

opportunities for all artists to learn, develop and perfect their craft.
- strives to make opera more easily accessible to the general public and to develop, educate
and expose non-traditional audiences of all ages to this art form through educational and out-
reach programs, especially those serving children and young adults.
- envisions an interdisciplinary hub of learning and development for artists who are ready to
embark upon professional careers but may not have been afforded opportunities by other
companies to grow artistically.
- strives to provide opportunities to sing at no cost for the selected participants.
- hopes to provide an environment in which artists can live, work, learn, perform and educate
the public about opera – tirelessly working toward a future where all artists are accorded
respect, dignity and the opportunity to achieve their full potential free from stigma and
prejudice.
Opera Manhattan’s Emerging Artist and Studio Ensemble Programs benefit from on-going classes
and coachings which are hosted by industry professionals and master teachers. Many of these
individuals volunteer their time and services because of their belief in supporting and nurturing
